The 11th Joint Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Review Meeting (JMNR) is an annual event that brings together nutrition stakeholders from various sectors at all levels to discuss (among other issues) the progress in the implementation of nutrition interventions in the country. For this year, the JMNR meeting is expected to be conducted from 4th and 5th September 2025, in Dar es Salaam. The main theme of this year's event is "Unlocking Synergies for Nutrition through Integrating into National Development Agendas and Multisectoral Actions in Tanzania".
The Annual JMNR meeting serves as a pivotal platform to assess progress, share best practices, and reinforce commitments towards achieving sustainable nutrition outcomes.
The main objective is to galvanize multisectoral collaboration, strengthen accountability mechanisms, and mobilize investments to sustain and enhance nutrition outcomes in Tanzania. Given the multisectoral nature of nutrition, the conference aims to foster collaboration among government entities, development partners, civil society, academia, and the private sector.
The 11th JMNR will be a two-day’ event organized in sessions and covered with various presentations, facilitated panels and plenary discussions and exhibitions. The guest of honor is expected to be Honourable Kassim Majaliwa Majaliwa, the incumbent Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania. The meeting is expected to be attended by around 500 nutrition stakeholders, both from within and outside the country.
In addition to the two main events (4th and 5th September 2025), there will be two optional events: 1) JMNR pre-event on 3rd September 2025 and LISHE Half Marathon on 6th September 2025.
